The majority of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar is Buddhists, and thus its laws criminalize insulting Buddhism.
The laws of Myanmar do not force or limit the visitor to carry only certain amounts of money, but if the amount exceeds 10 thousand US dollars or if the visitor brings precious stones, all the visitors are strongly advised to declare to the customs upon entering the country.
