The Chargés d'Affaires a.i. at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Mr. Mansoor Mubarak AL-Khayarin has organized this morning a celebration to mark the 8th Qatar National Sport Day.

The event was held in Yangon and attended by the Embassy staff and their families besides a number of heads of diplomatic missions and journalists who have taken part in various sporting activities including tennis and badminton matches as well as free running.

Since 2011, Qatar celebrates the National Sport Day which falls on the second Tuesday of February every year in order to encourage everyone to participate in sporting activities so as to promote the benefits of an active and healthy lifestyle.

This year's Sport Day is particularly remarkable, especially as it comes after Qatar was crowned 2019 Asian Cup.
