Dr. Rashid Abdulla AL-Kuwari Qatar's Chargés d'Affaires a.i. to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar threw a welcoming reception at the Lotte Hotel in Yangon where he received the blessing for the occasion of Qatar National Day from visitors and guests.

The celebration was attended by Myanmar Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E U Kyaw Myo Htut as the guest of honor besides a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Myanmar.

On the side-line of the reception, Dr. AL-Kuwari delivered a speech stressing the importance of the celebration of Qatar National Day this year, as it coincides with Qatar hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup which showed the world, Qatar's cultural identity, economic, security and administrative abilities, and its tangible and obvious achievements in all fields.

He added that this major global humanitarian event is for all humanity and FIFA World Cup 2022 brought the people together and unified the feelings, and affirmed that the world can be united to face the major challenges that threaten all humanity.
