His Excellency, Mr. Hassan Bin Mohammed Rafi Al-Emadi, the ambassador of State of Qatar to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar threw a welcoming reception at the Novotel Hotel in Yangon where he received the blessing for the occasion of Qatar National Day from visitors and guests.

At the inception of the ceremony, HE the ambassador highlighted the development of the relations between both countries and both sides' keenness to strengthen the cooperation in all fields.

His Excellency also raised his warm blessing to the Royal Highness Shaikh Tamem Bin Hamad Al Thani (May Allah Blesses Him), the Prince of the Country and the Royal Highness the Prince`s Father Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani. The Ambassador`s regards also extended to His Excellency Shaikh Abd Allah Bin Nasir Bin Khalifa Al-Thani the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign and Interior Affairs for the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The celebration was attended by H.E. U Kyaw Tint Swe Union Minister for the Office of the State Counsellor as the guest of honour. Other figures of high status in the Union of Myanmar also attended the festival such as H.E. U Kyaw Tin Union Minister for International Cooperation, H.E. U Phyo Min Thein, Chief Minister of Yangon Region, H.E. U Thaung Tin, Former Deputy Minister for Communications and Information Technology, and H.E. U Soe Thane, Member of Parliament and Former Union Minister.

In addition, a number of officials from the Foreign Ministry attended the event besides political and economical figures, members of the Arab and Muslim communities and heads of Arab and foreign accredited diplomatic missions.

 

The event presented manifestations of urban renaissance, folklore and national songs of the State of Qatar.
